2007 Car Shows/NE-CEG Events

Hey guys, just lettin you all know that the CCSU Car Club's fall show will be on Sunday, October 14th this year. This will be another charity benefit for the FSMA. For those who don't know, that is the charity that Jonathan at Bristol Dyno's daughter Emma benefits from. This fall the show will be a little different, less of a show, more of a meet, but there will still be awards. Right now, the categories are:

Homecoming King –Best in Show
Queen- Best Female Driven Car
Most Likely To Succeed = Most Balanced Performance Car
Class Jock = Most Powerful Car
Class Geek = Most High Tech Car
Biggest Flirt = Most enticing or sexy car
Class Bully = Truck
Shop Class Award = Muscle Car
C3 Award= Sleeper
Club Award
4cyl Award
6cyl Award
8cyl Award

This fall's theme will be Homecoming, as the show is during homecoming weekend. Also, this year it will take place in Kaiser Lot (the big one next to the football field) in efforts to avoid the clusterf*ck that parking has been in the past. As usual we will have some innovative events, I think we'll be saving the car smash until the spring show, but we will have some other cool events this fall. Hope to see all of you there!

Like our shows, however, there will be events, raffles, contests, etc... It's a great place to get together, take some pictures with the fall foliage in the background, and just enjoy the nice weather.

Bragging Rights
For those of you have yet to witness one of our events, we tend to amass some of the greatest diversity among cars under one name. Anyone who has been to a previous show can attest that there's something for everyone. Check out the pics from past events.

fall colors, ben and jerrys icecream, good friends, driving down fun roads > car show

not that car shows arn't cool and all, just don't care for that import car show feel ...

Honestly UConn's shows feel more like import shows then CCSU's do. We tend to get a large variety from all genre's of car enthusiasts. I'd love to go to the fall meet but I'm not going to have my car that weekend so it's basically up to Chris or Tony cuz wherever they go I wanna hitch a ride:laugh: .

Running list of who's going to try to make it to the CCSU show? Maybe we can meetup somewhere before we stroll in.

1. hotdimmes

2. dairdevyld (carless)

3. snoskier16

Since I live on campus, getting there will be quite easy. Let me know if you guys are gonna meet up before.

I don't think we've established a meeting place but we should. I'm already up obviously and I'm going to wash my car shortly so I'll be good to go any time after the show starts.
