I would paint the cf hood or get different eyelids. I agree there is way too much going on. Can you paint the hood to match the eyelids?
 
Don't paint the hood...Just get the matching eyebrows and it will looktons better.

I'm really liking the hood though...

It has really grown on me now. I may put my old hightowered lights back in and see how it looks like that
 
I don't think having regular CF eyelids would look any good, seeing as the grill trim is painted body color. And yet, the CF hood clashes a bit with everything...
 
the theme you have going on for the car is way too light to rock the carbon fiber hood

you need some darker things to fit into the scheme like hightowers or black wheels or something to that effect. otherwise, the stock hood looks much cleaner.
