Well I had to replace the two front tires and that I did and then had the tires aligned as well and then was shown that the right front cv joint boot was torn. So that will have to be replaced as well. I will probably do this at sears since I have an alignment warrenty there within the next six months. Question is how long will the cv joint last with a torn boot. Asked sears shop guy and he suggested that replacing just the boot made no since because a torn boot suggests a problem with the cv joint and if the boot is only replaced noise within the cv joint sometimes occurs shortly and so the axel has to be entirely so why not just replace the axel in the first place.

any thoughts here.

the passenger side axel so far has been replaced only once so with this replacement will make three passenger side axels this car has had at 75 k and twice I had the bearings pressed out and replaced. Is this normal?
