68 Cougar XR7, sold it to a friend (1st mistake), so I could purchase a new 1977 Mustang II (2nd Mistake). Drove past it every day and watched the poor thing on blocks being stripped. I felt helpless. It wasnâ??t the most reliable, that would have to go to the wife 1986 merc Capri V6. It only failed to start once since new and that was right in our driveway. It needed a new ignition module (the one that Ford got sued about). I still have it for home depot runs and as a back up for the mystique LS (not the best ford I have ever owned but the last). The high mileage champ was my 86 tempo. After I had it for a while and fixed all the bugs it went 183k mi before I sold it to buy the Myst (3rd mistake????). The guy I sold it to went to 230k mi before needing a clutch. He sent it to the yard for want of a $600 clutch job.
