Welcome 
. Stick with what is written or suggested in Owners' Manual. A lower octane will have lower power and engine will retard to prevent "knock" resulting in bad fuel consumption. Can't save money there.

Edit. Save money on gas by driving slower (less wind resistance = better gas mileage)
