So my Contour has a leaky compressor and I have no AC in the car. I recentally bought an R134a kit and put 2 cans of the stuff in my car. Nice, cold air shot out of the vents as I went to check the success of my doing. Not even 24 hours later, no AC. Only hot air. Guess its 4 windows down and 70 mph for me. Just thought I'd share.
