I was driving into my new neighborhood after work last night when I spotted a SilFro E0 sitting in a parking lot, so just out of curiosity, I looped back around and drove up to it to find the owner sitting in it. We rolled down windows and started to chat. He's been to contour.org before but never as a regular, and we talked about our cars a little. The guy has 160,000+ miles on his SVT, and the only non-scheduled repair/maintenance he said he'd ever had to do was replace the water pump. Original clutch, never modded, and he said every car he'd owned before had been modded in some way, but this one didn't need it. He said that he'd started to hear a couple of odd noises of late, though. I gave him my card, said to give me a shout if he ever needed some maintenance advice (i.e. manifold cleaning, references, etc.), and went on my way. The car looked great for its age and mileage; funny how we bump into each other.
