Hey, I'm 17 as well and I recomend strongly that you go for the Contour. I looked at every car imaginable before I bought this one and I could not find a better deal for a car of this calibur. A Honda or Toyota for the same price is not going to be even close to the SVT. The car has been fairly trouble free (except the waterpump which it was overdue for anyway...make sure you fix that) and always stands out in a crowd. This is an awesome car and you will love driving it.
