Thanks for the props Jon and Kelly. I think I've found a great resource for us SCCEGer's. I went on the SVTTexas forums and a guy there is going to help me install my springs and struts. I'll hook up with him soon, so I'll let you guys know how it goes. It sounds promising. Here's the PM he sent to me....

Hi,

Saw your post about getting springs and shocks fitted to your SVT Contour.

I can almost help you myself as I am in the process on starting a business in the Nth Dallas area focusing on handlng performance for domestic cars, but we will not have the shop open for a few months yet.

One of the reasons we are starting the new company because there is a real shortage of shops in the area that have the expertise and focus on the underbody and handling. There are plenty of shops that will soup up your engine, or merely sell you a lowering kit - but tell me any who actually know about handling? It is even worse for something like your Contour as most of the performance shops are muscle car focused and haven't a clue about front drive like the Focus or Contour - unless you goto an import specialist?

So be wary of recommendations to take it to somewhere like Lone Star Performance - they might be good at getting 500HP from a Mustang engine, but Contour suspension? no way!

I don't have any recommendations for you unfortunately, but if you cannot find a suitable shop, send me a note and we will work something out.
