Ok, plain and simple. I turn up my subs, and my new 15's pop. Its like theres too much bass. I know, turn it down. Well, they are hitting hard but not so hard that you would be like its too much power or nutin. These are the P1 Punches and I had a regular HE that would hit without any poping at all. Are these just subs that can't handle as much or is there something I can do, check, whatever. Thanks alot.

Make sure to check that your amps RMS output is not exceeding the subwoofers RMS rating, too much power=problems, this also applies if the sub is getting too little power. Check those and if it still doesn't show anything PM me.

How new is the 15" sub? My subs didn't start sounding good until they were broken in.

I just bought my subs on Sunday. I don't think they were poping the night I used them but I am not sure. I heard that you really don't have to "break in" any subs from someone on here. Hopefully they stop poping in time but I'm just making sure. The RMS of the sub are 200 watts, the rms of the amp is 336, but the amp is bridged to the 2 subs so could this be there is too little power going to the subs because I had the amp hooked up to the HE and it played great?

I bet they are over powered. I over powered a 10" Punch by 50 watts once and it popped quite a bit until I figured out why is was doing that. What amp are you using?

I got a 900 watt Rockford Amp. It puts out 336 rms. Wouldn't that be cut in half cause its hooked up to 2 subs? So it'd be like 170 ish per sub? Or am I wrong? They say they can handle 200 watts each. I could always turn them down and listen to them, but then what are the purpose of subs if your not going to listen to them full bore?

No, bridging an amp usually doubles the output. Basically, its the 2 Ohm rating of each channel doubled. Not in all cases, but in most.

How many channels does the amp have? How about a model # ?

Its a monochannel amp. I'm not sure about the number but I'll check tomorrow for sure.

I bet the amp is overpowering them.
