Welcome back.

We are organizing a run over Hwy 20 on the 26th. You should join us, the start point is closer to you than it is for most of us.

Where in Illinois are you from? I spent 5 years in Freeport.

I just checked out your web page...I think I've seen your car before! I'm a contractor at NAS Whidbey and I used to drive my SVT around there all the time. It's black like yours, only not nearly as clean! No, I'm not the guy with the silver decals..yikes! Hope to catch you at a meet. I'd really love to hear that sound system. What kind of music do you listen to?

Build 30?? WOW, and I thought I had a low number.

So your the one with the other black SVT...usually parked near the new tower area/AIMD...cool. What are you a contractor for??
The Silver Contour...I saw that car about 3 months ago for the first time and thought...rrright, your cool. It looks like a ricer. anyway.

Yeah I'd be glad to meet up with you sometime, not sure if i'll be making it to the 26th meet yet or not.
I listen to all kinds of music, except country...I gotta be in the mood for country and that doesn't happen very often, like once a year...maybe.

#30 is pretty cool...The funny thing is you'd think with a number that low it would have been bought in the midwest, but lo, it was bought here, at the I-5 autoworld Ford dealer...Skagit Valley Ford. I actually didn't know my build number until about 2 years after I bought it. I called the SVT hotline number and they were kinda excited, I was the lowest build number to call in, I guess they keep track of that or something...still to this date btw. I check Toadster's list from time to time Toadster's web page and see if I'm still number one..so far so good. I've actaully met the #2 guy on the list, there are quite a few differences between our 2 cars...wierd huh.

Christian

That is weird! I'd like to check that out. I figure by the time they got to #639 they had it pretty much figured out. Did you get a build plaque? The dealer I bought my SVT from had sold #40 something a few days before mine and it was in the "first fifty club" or something. It came with a plaque and some other stuff supposedly from SVT. Just curious.

The SVT you're talking about parked by AIMD often wasn't me. That was a '99 some other guy had who I never met, only waved to a few times. I was mostly parked over at PSD and IRM, since I'm an NMCI contractor (booo, hiss, I know). The silver frost car belongs to an EOD officer. He traded in his BMW 318 for it! Nice guy. The guy with the silver decals hasn't been around in a while. He's a younger guy. Actually I haven't seen an SVT Contour on the base in months!

Let me know if you're going to the next meet. The drive will be well worth it, believe me! I plan to tag along with Beowulf since my SVT is in, well, storage. Long story. I should get it back this year sometime. I'd like to roll a few miles in yours to check out that sound system. Maybe a little Pink Floyd? Radiohead? Let me know.
