My first guess was that it was a Florida used car dealer - and it is. Mis-stating the model year of a car is a COMMON ploy around here to get people into the used car dealerships.
Once you get there they sell the car with its actual model year on the paperwork, but won't clue you in on the discrepancy. If you happen to notice, "Oops! Musta been a typo in the ad! Let's go look at these other cars for you...", and they try to sell you some old junker with 240,000 mile on it.
When I was looking to buy an RX-7 I went through this TWICE at two different dealerships in separate counties. Ignorance will cost you around here.
