Kermit, I don't want sound like an old fart but what the h@ll were you thinking. it's not just that you could have been hurt or worse, it could have been someone else (sorry that was my dad side comming out) remember if you have a need for speed there are places that you can go, try the local race track you might find that for not much money you can take a racing class, I have done three different ones now with the most expensive one being $300 for two hours running a nice sportsman class stock car on a 3/8 mile oval. now I think you have been lectured enough, and this won't happen again ( it's a dad thing) glad your ok

Wow, I'm glad to see you spent your time and money on race classes instead of learning how to read somebody's entire thread which CLEARLY shows it was a stupid mistake and won't happen again. Ooo but those race classes are more important than knowing how to read.

Kremit, I understand your point, because your original post did include a statement of contrition ("stupid driving, cheap tires and brakes that aren't perfect . . ."). You acknowledged the driving error, so you felt that should be the end of the subject.

But you have to cut some slack for ebean, because he is so totally right on this. You didn't really say in your post that you understood how much risk you took, how you jeopardized others, or that you should only drive fast on a track. Ebean was just telling you those things, and he did so with considerable restraint. You can't post about a serious driving stunt like yours without getting a little well-deserved flack from your friends here.

Well I think I and EVERYONE on here should already understand that it was a risk to me and other drivers and that it was stupid. But if you feel, ebean, or anyone feels the need to express these things in type in this thread... Fine go ahead, the rest of us already know it.

You have a bad attitude.

Besides, I thought you had good tires?

Yeah I do have a bad attitude, I take that as a compliment. And I have my 14"s on right now with cheap korean tires. I do have good tires, though they're just not on the car right now.

Don't take that "compliment" to heart too much there. Won't get you very far in life, BELEEVE DAT! Just be glad that you've learned from it and do take one of those driver's courses, they are so much fun! And you'll learn a TON about everyday driving, as well as track racing.
