Right now I can possibly buy a 2000 Ford Contour with 54k miles on it. It doesnt have leather or a spoiler. But I seemn one on ebay for 30 dollars [Stock Spoiler for Mystique or Contour]. It does have the 24 Valve Engine though. Would u recommend buying a Contour?

I would suggest running a car fax on it first.
Also, where are you? There might be someone on here from your area willing to check out the Contour for you to make sure the car is worth buying.

If all goes well, and it's worth it, yeah buy it. Contours handle great, they are fun to drive, reliable if you take care of it right. I have a 98 Contour SE 4 cylinder, and I love it. My hub has a 94 Explorer V6 and he has more fun driving my car.

Thats what i'm talking about. I'm leaving a neon behind. My neon had better performance than most Neons. And that 24 valve engine seems interesting. It's gonna be 6995.00 . I'm getting it from a dealer with warranty and what not. It just has the horrible hub caps that I want to replace with maybe some 16s.

One other thing you might want to replace is the transmission... I can't understand how people want to drive automatic trannies. Also, for 7 G's I wouldn't buy it, even though it's a Contour.

Way too much money imo.

My current mystique was bought about 1 year ago.

Had 44k miles, Midnight blue leather, pwr windows/locks, premium sound, 15" wheels, pwr antenna, fogs, CD, pwr seat, moonroof, 2.5L V-6, auto......all that for about $6,000 out the door including TTL. Dealer wanted 6500 before taxes and stuff, we talked him down.

So basically, the cars are good, there's just better deals out there.
