dang...30,000 miles on a 00 csvt and it took a crap today on me.

developed an incredibly loud tick/rap inside the block. sounds like my timing belt/chain jumped a tooth.

pray for me....that my 75,000 mile powertrain warranty will cover whatever is wrong with it...

how long did they have your car for?

which bearings are you talking? like main bearings or timing chain bearings? im a noob to the internals of ford.

damn...with that low of miles though? and this car has been driven VERY easily. a couple with 2 kids had it before me...and ive had it for maybe 5000 east miles.

its still in the shop...been there about 2 hours now...and still no call back. im getting worried....we'll see.

2 weeks, 100 dollar deductable and I had them replace an o2 sensor.

did they happen to give you a loaner car during this? or at least offer one?

so....still no phone call today. apparently they havent figured it out yet. guess i will find out the outcome tomorrow morning.

I was suposed to make reservations two weeks in advance. I was like wtf? If I could plan when she breaks, great. So no, but I got a gf wit a truck, so it was not a biggie.

welp, it was in fact a spun rod bearing...now i have to wait until monday before they can tell me if it will be covered by my warranty. what luck....ive only had this car for 5 months.
