I haven't been feeling well lately, so I went to the doctor Tuesday. I figured I just had my usual sinus infection from my bad allergies. Well, they put me on antibiotics, as usual, but I didn't feel any better. I actually started to feel worse. Today (Friday) the family and I were going to go on vaction to North Carolina. Well, since I still don't feel good, we stopped at the doctor on the way out of town. Low and behold, I have mono.  So I feel like crap. I'm tired, but not sleepy, I'm sore all over, etc., etc.. Doc says I gotta lie around and do nothing (what's new) and I can't drive or really even leave the house.  What really sucks is I went to Huntsville the other day and picked up an SVT exhaust from Matt (BigMoneyRacing) and it's still sitting on the floor of my garage. I told my dad the doctor said he and my brother have to put it on for me, but I don't think they will.  Anyway, I'll be online a lot more for the next couple weeks.  I know you're all very excited about that. I'm not on any medicine, so I won't have any weird drug-induced posts. But I do feel a lil light headed every now and then, so be on the look out for some off the wall posts/threads.  I figure since I can't go out and do anything, I would kinda get into model building. The glue tastes good and the paints look good on carpet, so it's a win-win situation.

Dude! I hate to hear that you are sick. Hope you feel better soon.  When you was in HSV, did you hook up with Rich? Just wondering. I need to call the ol' boy. I have been on here a lot more recently, since I was layed off from work 3 weeks ago today. We took off both of the prior weekends, for little trips, but that is about it. There's really not a lot of jobs floating around out there, so I have just been fishing a lot.

Thanks Phil. Nah, I didn't call Rich, I was itchin to get home and put my exhaust on!  But I didn't get to cuz my dad drove my car to work since I took the truck. He had to go on a trip (in a gov't car, not mine) to Mississippi, and he didn't get back until late yesterday night. Oh, I bout forgot. The prim and proper, standard dialect doctor said I should put on about 20 pounds and get "fat n sassy" lying on the couch. "Fat n sassy"!?? WTF?!??! I already am!!

I went to the emergency room this morning runnin 102F and my lymph nodes in my neck were swollen so much that they were touching my uvula. I love that word: uvula. It sounds so dirty, but it's the thing that hangs down in the back of your throat. Anyway, my throat was about 60-75% blocked and it was getting hard to breathe. They gave me a steriod shot that would relieve the swelling, and it did. That damn thing hurt though! The nurse made fun of me for not having any meat on my butt where she gave the shot. I reckon that's why it hurt so bad. The steroid shot also brought my fever way down, which in turn, makes me sweat like a whore in church. I also got some prescription pain killers that could drop an elephant. I forget what kind they are, but my mom said they're the kind she had when she had sinus surgery and they knocked her out cold. Well, they just made me a little sleepy. Man I was feeling rough this morning. I'm glad I spent 3 hours in the ER this morning. I still don't feel good, but I've got my Playstation hooked up to the big TV in our den and I'm giving out free azz whoopin's in Gran Tourismo 3 if anyone wants one. OH! I found out there are Subaru XT model kits! I'm going to order a couple and have a lil fun. One of them is even motorized! I reckon since I can't drive my car, my R/C 7 sec 1/4 mile RSX is gonna have a good work out.
