I have a 96 Cavalier as my commuter car. It is the 2.2 automatic. IT has 93660 miles. Give or take

When accelerating at a dead stop it kind of sputters a little bit, or hesitates.

I change the oil every 3k...So could this mean it needs new wire and plugs?

Thanks in advance.

Is your Air filter clean/need replaced. I would guess your engine is either not getting:

1.) spark (as u mentioned)

2.) fuel (pump or filter?)

3.) Air...

Don't know specifics on that model though, only the tour

I do have an intake on this, so air is not the culprit. I know its a cavalier but I wanted to open things up.

Fuel filter is brand new, replaced that 5k ago. Fuel pump havent touched though.

A friend suggested it to be a possible sensor, also to change plugs and wires being I have over 60k on them.
