Good luck.

Hey chow give me an estimate for the 0-60 time, even if it's a very brief estimate. I've been in my friend's 98 cobra and that is a 5.5 0-60, so what is the 3.0? 5.7, 5.9? Stop teasing.
I hope you are serious. I might be coming down to LA soon so maybe I could meet with you guys, if that is ok with you guys of course.

I am extremely interested in performing this mod, especially since I found out how to get a Quaife for about $650 bucks in england. (wait a minute I'll be going there soon woo-hoo). Any info you guys could get to me as to price, phone #'s, amount of installation needed, would be extremely helpful. thank you.

Hey KC2000SVT, where in England are you going to? I lived in Chievely (spelled wrong) when I was a child, and have visited Cambridge many times, what a beautiful area to drive in! Don't suppose you could pick one up for me! I was going to go to England this summer, but have decided to get a summer job instead to pay for things done to my car. Send me an e-mail.

Listen up Arslanyan.

Get off the crack you smokin'.

The price of the Quaife is 555.00 UK pounds.
That's $811.00 US.

That's with the UK VAT included. If you ship
it out of the country, they will deduct the
UK VAT, which is 15%.

So, it's actually cheaper to buy it from
the US, and have it SHIPPED to the US.

I didn't even end up paying the 2.5% tax
I was supposed to, so my total came out
to be about $770.

You save about $40 if you buy it from
Demon-Tweeks, instead of NFS. Demon-Tweeks
has cheaper shipping charges.

If one more person asks me if "I am serious" I will ****. I just paid 1200 for the motor today. I saw it, and touched it, I even picked it up for a sec, well, tried to. The car will be done 2 weeks from today. I will have MSDS headers, ported butterflys in the manifold, and the intake and exhaust will be port matched to the heads. I am going to use the SHO Shop off road H-Pipe, and I will use the factory exhaust with a straight through muffler in place of the factory resonator. I'd like to have a 2.5" cat back exhaust, but I don't think I'll have any money left over. I will try to take pics. Work begins a week from today.

Hey Guys,

Is this Quaife the very same Quaife sold here in the U.S. for $1200 or a different brand/manufacturer and if so, just as good?

The quaife in the us is dist. by Autotech Sport Tuning. I got one there when I worked there. I can tell you that $700 is very very cheap. You figure that after you shipped a diff here it would still be in the $900 range. If you do bring one in yourself good luck. The exclusive agreement that Quaife and Autotech have says that no one in or from the us can buy a diff. unless it comes through autotech first. Wether quaife cares or not when you are on vacation I don't know. From what I hear autotech has already spent 200K in legal fees chasing people around who are trying to back door the stuff. I can't wait to get my 3.0L in though. I have a new stereo, and slotted rotors waiting to go on. I am trying to get ferodo fast road pads, but I am trying to see if they are available right now. 1 week and 6 days.......

F*ck americas legal bullsh*it. What could possibly go wrong if I get my uncle to buy one for me (in England), take it out of the box and stuff it in his suitcase. What would the airport security (Forgot the name)guys say "Uh yea, this is one of those differentials that autotech has the exclusive rights for importing only". yeah right like they even know what exclusive means.
OK if I am overlooking something, then tell me.

3.0 E0 SVT,

you trying to tell me it's illegal to buy a
Quaife from England? Bwaaaa. Come on. What
are they gonna sue me for? Buying their
product?

I got it shipped for $78, so the total comes
out to $780 shipped.
www.demon-tweeks.co.uk

They don't have the part listed in their
catalog on the website, but e-mail them,
they can get it for you.

will fit no problem. Or at least it's supposed to.

Damn you guys are bitter. I was just stating that.I don't give a **** what you do. I was just sharing my experience. All I was saying is if an american went to quaife in england they might not sell you a diff because of their agreement with Autotech .That's all I was saying. No need to get all wet about it.

Thanks to sharing the MTX-75 with the Focus, the Quaife for the MTX-75 is now only $875. Take a look at the Quaife website and check out their catalog. This used to $1275+ ... a discount of $400!

Didn't think I could be more clear ... Quaife has it listed in the official catalog ... anyone tries to tell you different, reference this link:

http://www.quaifeamerica.com/price/pl2001r.PDF

I was off on the price by $20 ... it's $895.

Check out SP Motorsport's website, they have it listed at $1095 - a new reduced price from $1295.

Correction SP's new price is $1075 not $1095. You can also get a rebuilt transaxle with a Quaife for $1999 with a $1000 core charge.

Try this url - you might have to cut and paste it. http://209.221.154.139/

What's the labour cost usually with the Quaife install?

It's generally 9-11 hours of labor. Not cheap The whole subframe has to be removed and then the transaxle. Then crack the case open and swap diffs. Not a quick job.

No! I mean who the hell is selling them for that price. I can't find any retailer that sell them for that price.

I was off on the price by $20 ... it's $895.

That brings the total to a whoping $917.38. I have a feeling that retailers know that by droping the price only $200, they can increase their profit margin I don't blame them ... I would do the same!

Mine was $791 shipped.

Turned out I didn't even pay the 2.5% import
duty tax.

FedEx just left it on my doorstep. Hell, I
was surprised it was FedEx, and shipping only
cost $78...

All I have to say is, JVT is the man with the UK Quaife and everyone, or at least I am, is waiting to see if it fits properly in his MTX-75. When it does, let the ordering frenzy begin, b/c I will be getting one, with a new clutch and probably a lightened flywheel. My first steps to a 3L. Now, I need a better job to afford all this!! John, get that damn Quaife installed!

I'm new around here so I'm wondering, do the SVT heads bolt directly to the 3.0 or what any info or a site where I can get the info on doing the swap is greatly appreciated
