Why do all the parts places want so damn much money for the front pads on a 98 SVT i mean $70.00 are the part stores here in missouri . I dont think ive ever given over $30.00 for pads in mt life .

How about because those 98 SVT pads were bigger than standard contour front pads and thus were not mass produced like standard pads? I'll bet LOTS of GL and SE owners would love to swap their front rotors, pads, calipers with you to take that pad price headache off your hands.

Meanwhile, did you contact Stazi about pricing pads from him? He saved me from some sticker shock when I replaced my fronts.

Nah, our GL brakes seem to be cheaper

but dude, if you own an SVT, you gotta expect to have pay more money, they Premium gas from what I hear, of course with an SVT you are going to have different brakes from standard contours, an SVT contour is very different, and since its a SVT, you gotta know its not built from cheap parts, good ol' contour GL is built with many cheaper parts. Ill make an offer for you man, i will give you my beautiful Contour GL, and then parts are cheaper, and you give me the SVT

because they are different and they dont sell as many, they are not the same as the ones you can buy for the escort, taurus, and just about all the other fords...
