Why not 98.5 or later? What about pre 98? I don't think there is a difference, is there? I thought so long as the recipient vehicle had a tach it was an easy swap.

damn, there goes my hopes of white gauges. I thought it was a simple switch as well.
It may be still possible for you to get SVT gauges without too much effort. I'd have to see a pic of the back of your cluster to determine though. I put together a little page on my experience here. Since your car is a '97 you may be able to swap in the E0 cluster with no problems, again I'd have to see your cluster to be able to tell.

I have never taken out the gauges and dunno how. Take a look at the mod meet post I started and maybe we could arrange something for that date?

I need a front bumper cover and a hood from a 1995 Contour GL... I don't think the trim level matters, but the colour I'm looking for is grey (my brother thinks it taupe). I'm sure you guys know which colour I'm talking about. Thanks.

1995 Contour GL
- Grey
- Automatic
- 2.5L Duratec
- Power everything
- New brakes, new rear calipers, new ebrake cables, new windsheild, new exhaust, new tires, etc
- 200,000kms
- Check engine light is on, only God knows why (DPFE sensor actually)
- Driver side door lock is frozen up, as well as the truck lock
Might need new rear struts for certification... I will install them and certify the car if the buyer wishes.
$2000obo, e-tested but not certified.
