The Phoenix Gold Outlaw I was stable to 1/4 Ohm, but could run down to 1/8 Ohm. ( Saw it for myself ! )
Problem was that it needed a constant and regulated 14.45V to do it.
Also any spike in voltage at less than 1/2 Ohm and say bye, bye to a $2500 amp.
Also at 1ohm, W stopped increasing.
I believe it was 400W x 2 @ 1 Ohm.
So there was no reason to go below 1 ohm unless you were looking to cram in extra subs for EXTREME SPL.
