They hook up 6 4ohm speakers in paraell(or how ever its spelled) to a 4 ohm stable 100watt pioneer and wonder why they killed the amp.

no offense to your friends, but they arnt the smartest of the bunch.. why did they parrelll the speakers?
are they gonna buy u a new amp?

they just didn't listen to me, first I told them the amp wouldn't survive and second the amp would under power the speakers anyway, 45 watts RMS each. and now I'm not sure what they are going to do

I think it was Phoenix gold that made an amp that was supposedly stable some ridiculously low impedance like a dead short.

yes they are insane, it lasted for about 15 sec, I'm just glad it isn't my amp, these are also guys that hook up walky talky speekers to there stereo and run them till they smoke :
