Hey gang, I was reading an article about Ford's hybrid vehicle plans in today's A2 News and came across this tidbit.......
"A similar hybrid system will be available in an upcoming Ford midsize sedan, also introduced at last year's New York show. Ford had planned to call the model Futura, but a federal court has ruled that the Pep Boys auto parts retail chain owns the rights to that name."
Let's hope Ford comes up with a better name to replace the Futura...any suggestions?

I've heard the want to have an "F" to their cars now.
Focus, Freestar, Five Hundred
The trucks will always be F-series
I'm guessing they will stick to "E" for the SUVs
Escape, Explorer, Expediton, Excusion (again maybe?)
They can't kill the Mustang so that one will just have to stand out.......... wait, it is supposed to stand out. Genius!

The Falcon is a maybe, but Ford can keep the rest of those in a file cabinet. Though I don't think Fairlane would have been bad instead of the 500; but then again, it's not my size of car anyway.

Back on topic, how about the Ford Fubar, or the Ford Fiasco, or the Ford Freedom? Now those are the worst names ever.  Although I kinda like Ford Freedom.

Well, there have been rumors of a Falcon return, but it's hard to believe that with the Futura coming out as well.
Now with the Futura not coming, that puts a little more stock in the return of the Falcon.

Read it, the Futura is coming just not with the Futura name.
