If you go with something that would have a thicker sidewall, I'd go with the narrower tire since you're trying to squeeze it around a 6.5" wheel. Otherwise, with a "regular" tire choice, I'd opt for the wider tire to get more rubber on the road. But then you'd have to run slightly higher pressures to achieve the appropriate gains for more adept "street" driving. Whirling dervish of FFOG.
