SInce the knobs are on hold... I have another project that I can have done for cheep before hand. Anyone here like To have SVT, CONTOUR, MYSTIQUE, or CEG on your headrest? Or perhaps on the front of your seat? Well, my mother purchased a new sewing machine that can duplicate all the logos and stitch them into patches... in any color you like, and can be applied to the headrest or whereever with tacky glue... its permanent, but can be peeled off and put back on, and so on. I want to get aninterest check before I say yeah or nay with this. Remember, any color you like, in any four of those above... or PM me if there is something else you would like. Perhaps the name of your car, your name (Whut!) or whatever. I'll let this go for a week or so and see how many people would be interested.

I'll let you guys know how much on pricing in about a week... somewhere around 5-6 bucks per patch with shipping.. They would probably be apporximatly 4-7 inches long ((depending on choice, obviously SVT and CEG would be shorter)

I'll have some done this week and take pics of them on my car, too!
Chad

Knobs are still coming... this summer.

maybe pics would help... patches just sound so temporary and glue always sounds tacky, but I'm one to see before judging completely.

God graced us with intelligence, let's use it.

The way these patches will be made (as you will see this week when I have some made) they will actually look like they are sewn in the headrest. They are completly backless patchess (meaning... it's nothing but tightly sewn thread). The tacky glue is a 3m product that makes the patches stick permanent under normal condition to leather, vinyl, cloth, ect, but can be pulled off (with a little effort) with no marks. As I said before, I am open to any ideas you may want. The SVT patches will be doen in SVT font, the CEG logo can be recreated exactly, and so on. If this seems like a good idea, they will be made next week to order in your choice of any color (imaginable), and sent out the day they are made via USPS.

I'd be interested. A white "SVT" on the headrest would be
I'd also be worried that the patch wont stick because I keep my leather "well oiled" to protect it from the viscious NM sun.

I would love to see a pic when you get one.

How about the mercury winged head logo:

Or just a regular waterfall logo:

If i did buy either, i would want it in white or a light silver, probably about 3" in size, does that seem doable?

If thats sound good, and if you can get some pics soon and post a price; chances are i'll probably be down.

Well.... lemme tell you guys this. Anything is doable (I mean ANYTHING), no limit to color, complexity, or what have you. I will not, however, become an artist and creat you dreams... if you want something other than the four logo terms (svt, contour, ect).. it would be helpful that you supplu me with the logo you would like. The max size (to make things easier and cheaper) is 4"x6".. they can be larger.. but takes more work and costs a little more. The winged design or mercury logo would be fine. I've created a folder and I'll put names with the logos of the people submitting them. Keep the ideas comin.

How about it? Will they stick to well maintained leather? What about the durability of the patch?

They will stick to well oiled and maintaind leather and the pathces are extremly high quality. The will stick to the leather and won't wall off, or move, or peal off if touched, rubbed, or caught on something. I will test everyhting as to how well it works, it may come down to you having to rub alcohol on the area of the patch to be placed to make for an even better surface... but I will find out tommorow. I should have one SVT logo to photograph tomorow in my car.

Cool, well see for the winged head of mercury i was asking because all i would want (in white stitching) is the black lines in that pic. Now i imagine that would be a little tough to do up, it might be flimsy if the lines aren't wide enough or whatever.... So do you think you could do just stitch up the outline in white, or would you need to add a background to hold it together? If so, i would need a midnight blue background to match my seats. And if your price still stands bearing all this in mind (as well as the adhesion of the patches), then i'm sold.

I would be interested in a white patch with SVT in red. That would look good on a black bucket hat!
