i hate my '98 ford contour with 85,434 miles. this car has one problem after another. it is just terrible. it is unbelievable how a quality car company could make such a car. I DIDNT' EVER LIKE FORD, AND I GIVE THEM NO MORE CHANCES. they disgust me..i'm selling this car if anyone is interested for $2500, i can't believe it is actually worth more, the poor shouldn't even be given this car..i wish i could give it away for free.

Deep breath .... deep breath ... deep breath. We all go through it dude. It's not picking on you specifically. There are worse cars out there.

What problems are you having ?

Yeah, if you could maybe be a bit more specific on your problems, we could help you feel something other than blind hate for your car. I'm sure we've all been there at some point, I know I have.

Specify some of your problems. Perhaps we can help - You'll find that CEG exists for exactly that purpose, & there are helpful CEGers in your area.

If not, I might be interested in buying it for my daughter, but I'll still need to know what problems you're having.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

it might seem like its the worst car ever built but try having 3 tranny replacements within less than 6 months time. the car was actually just sold and when we sold it, it was on its 5th tranny (4 replacements from original). it was a 98 Kia Sephia with only 41k miles.

good luck with w/e your doing with the car but realize a Contour is not the worst car built, theres alot worse out there.

You state that Ford is a quality car company, but then say you didn't ever like Ford? That doesn't make much sense.

If you hate it as much as you claim to, then sell it and buy something that makes you happy. A lot of people like these cars, but obviously not everybody does.

I'm at 80000 and haven't had that many probs. There are many, many, many worse cars out there. Such as:
Chevy Malibu, Chevy Cavilier, Dodge Neon, anything by Daewoo, etc.

Hmmmm all cars when the get upto 85,000 need to get repaired.
I had a Pontiac Sunbird that needed more work than my car did at 100,000 km.
The problem is when millage goes up and you replace a part, another weaker part down the line usually goes.
Hence the list of repairs grows.
Once you've fixed everything your done. Buying a new/used car isn't a gaurantee things won't break or be cover by the warranty.
