Hey Guys,
I have a 2001 atx cougar. I have the lower and upper svt intake manifolds on with 75mm MAF that isn't calibrated right for the 19lbs injectors. Somebody told me that I can put a svt maf on my cougar? Even tough the svt maf is calibrated for mtx, is this correct?

What exactly does a MAF have to do with transmission, it's my understanding that it just measures the mass of the incoming air,,, but I could be wrong,, also have no idea how well it would work on a non-svt computer.

Done it, worked fine except the caar kept throwing lean codes on both banks, cant under stand lean yet considering lean is too much air and with out the SVT intakes i would have less air, but that also may have been from something else, cars not running at the moment so i cant try it out again but when i had it it worked fine, but why are you putting a SVT MAF on it is the same size as the stock it is just setup for 19lb injectors and unless you have those there is really no point

Well I want to replace the pro flow because it's throwing a CEL of to rich. The only reason that I asked is will it work on atx is that the svt tech told me it wouldn't work unless it's mtx.

what svt tech?? he needs to come see my car then it must have a special tranny it a "mautomatic tranny" that may be why it works

but no for real the MAF has nothing at all to do with the tranny so it will be no problem, also why not just use a stock MAF its cheaper

well i would use my maf, but i have 19lbs injectors.

O i c that would be a good reason. do you have a SVT maf or are you getting one because i have one, also what size is the PRO maf setup for??

I picked up one but haven't installed it. It was quite a bit of money so I was just checking before I installed it. The pro flow is 75mm calibrated to 19lbs. injectors

whats wrong with the configuration on it if it is setup for 19's and you got 19's?? im confused here
