Pretty good contour, i was told the headgasket was bad (it overheated over a long period of time of the car running, I think the problem was the wiring harness the whole damn time....) Which is why I only paid $300 for it

The price is fairly high as well.

I'd go with an EVO if you want an AWD pocket rocket. Also skip the ricer wing and save over a grand too.
Actually a well optioned (or deleted for that matter) EVO is by far the better bang for the buck.

You can get the EVO RS model. No wing and a few other things are eliminated. You also get a better diff I can't remember which one it is though off hand. It's in the newest edition of SCC, the right up on the RS model. You can get it pretty stripped down if you want. I myself would take the EVO over the STI also.

Is there a hp difference with the RS?

No it's just stripped down, and still as ugly as the other EVOs.

I like the WRX STi, but I would wait till 2005 till the new Legacy comes out (this spring). It's going to be equipped with the WRX engine.

Info and pics of the 2005 Legacy. It is a sweet looking car.

As long as it does not have the WRX tranny it sounds like a great car.

I would not touch a WRX with a stick because of the weak tranny it has.

(edit - They "specifically" state it has a new re-enforced tranny - ABOUT DAMN TIME! I'd still wait one model year to get one though)

I also think the new Legacy is very sharp looking.
"Projected" 250HP/250TQ out of the box.
It also looks larger then any previous Subaru and maybe? in wagon form it is just the car we're looking for for a family cruiser. (fair sized 4 door estate with some power, traction, and reliability)

2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

I would pick the STi over the evo. The STi has a six-speed, as opposed to the evo's 5, right?

If money wasn't important, i would definitely get a lightning, but thats a lot of money including its gas mileage.
