Well, since the NFL was kind enough to have the Super Bowl on my birthday as part of the festivities we are having a big party here at SPU. Kind of funny though cause I planned everything so it was kind of like I planned my own birthday party.

You go to SPU as in Seattle Pacific University? I graduated from there in 2000. My little sister graduated from there last year. What are you majoring in?

Yes, I do in fact attend Seattle Pacific University. I am currently in the third year of my Political Science degree. I am also minoring in GeoPolitics and Sociology. I am having a blast here and I love it. I live in Emerson Hall and have in fact lived here, on the same floor, longer than anyone else I know of. I arrived a week early for food service training my freshman year and have lived here every year since. Anyway. . .

I highly recommend SPU to anyone who is interested or looking at schools. The faculty are amazing and it is just so cool to have average class sizes around 30 students. The student life and campus ministries programs couldn't be more amazing either. I work in the Campus Ministries office and am having a great time working with some amazing people. Feel free to ask me any questions you have about going here. I will try to give you as unbiased of an answer as I can!

What kind of ministries are you in? I am probably going to be up there at SPU in 2 weeks to go visit my buddy. Maybe we could meet and talk about the school. I am probably going to SPU in the fall to get my electrical engineering degree. I am looking forward to going to SPU in the fall.

I am the coordinator of a ministry called Latreia. The word is Greek and literally means "Worship through service." We are one of the two community service organizations on campus along with Urban Involvement. We do a lot of work with individual students and groups finding them community service opportunities in areas that interest them. It is a lot of fun and we are doing some great things on campus. Let me know when you are going to be here and we can work something out if you want to meet.

On the EE note, I know several of the guys in the EE program and they are really great people. A little crazy, but cool. They should have the old science building renovated about when you start too, so you get a basically new building for most of your classes. They are in portables right now and they like to complain about that.

I minored in Political Science...who is your favorite Prof? I absolutely loved Dr. Durasoff's classes. I also enjoyed Dr. Reed's classes. Wasn't as fond of Dr. West...a little to dry for my liking!

I can't believe how much SPU has changed since I graduated.

My sister who just graduated in 2003 was on the gymnastics team at SPU, so Lance and I were there for a bunch of meets, and it felt so different every year. The new dorm you live in, the new science building, Tiffany hall gone and all those people relocated to Marston. I have to say that was weird because my advisor was in Tiffany, and going back to see her in Marston was so strange...especially since I knew someone who had lived in that room before! It was also weird to see Campus security up past Demaray Hall on W Bertona!

Strange how so much can change in only a few years after graduating!

=)Christy

Yeah, I take almost all of my classes from Durasoff. He is ok, I like him and I like talking to him but he can get off onto some crazy tangents that take like a half hour and aren't that interesting. My favorite by far is Davis. The guy is absolutely hilarious. I can't believe he is actually running for senate too. I am totally going to vote for him even though his chances of winning are slim. I actually haven't had any classes from West and probably won't. I am doing the international affairs track so like 2/3 of the classes I have left are with Durasoff. I am having fun with it though. I think I am already having early onset senioritus though and that is probably a bad thing!
