well, just to follow up with my situation. even taking the plastic plate out, 50mm are still a tad too short. the bolt won't go all the way through the nut. i had to go with #10 bolts that are long enough. they are a bit thin but seems to hold well enough for now. i'm still gonna search for some 60mm bolts. by the way, it feels great!!!!

I did that to mine about two years ago when I did my stereo. I just remelted it back on with a soldering iron. One was broke up too bad so I demeled a hole and clamped it with some wire tie. it never broke again and like i said it's been two years.

since some one was asking before I took some pics of my installed Steeda shifter I will say for compairision that with the stock shifter in 3rd my fingers would be right on the memory buttons for the radio, with the Steeda I would have to reach almost straight up with my fingers 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th reverse neutral raiser plate w/ reverse lock out

All these pictures have left me scratching my head . My car only has 2 bolts stock. One in the reverse lockout location and another in the opposite corner. Has anyone else found this? I guess the assembly guy got lazy.

Same here. I had just thought that some ford service idiot had just put two back in. but i guess it was by design.
