The smiley is working, I belive, because of the way he typed it out..
You referenced it like a link in HTML (<a href=, etc, etc etc)
He referenced it using UBBThreads built in image linking format:i.e.,
[image]www.thisismyimagepage.com/smileys/smiley.gif[/image]
where the address is corrected to point to your smiley..
OR.. you can just click the "image" word, below where you type a post (under the table called "Instant UBB Code"), and then just fill in the location to your smiley..
