For sheets & giggles I checked this out. Fill it out. The trade in value is at the bottom as you check options.
$1655.00 is what mine is "worth" I'll never trade it however.

the trade in value is pretty inaccurate though. if you sell it yourself, you will get much more. tade in: 2,300 sell myself: 4,870 doesnt really matter though b/c we're not going to be selling it

While private sale > trade-in is generally very true... you really think you could get $4,870 for a 1996 4-cyl? Maybe if you were a car dealer, and even then it would be as stretch. when cars like ours get these old (96, 95 like mine) the books don't mean much. I've got a 95 6-cyl with every option and some mods, and "only" 78K miles - but when I go to sell it myself in the spring, I'll probably be happy to get $2K for it.
the whole thing with Kelly, anyway, is that NADA is the dealer bible. take a look at what cars like this fetch on e-bay and in newspaper classifieds, and trust me, it's nowhere near $5K...

Our 1996 auto 4-cyl netted $3K selling it ourselves, and took, oh, a month and a half to sell. My '95LX (V6, auto) = $1150 trade value. $4270 selling it myself. That's not too bad. I didn't pay that much for it when I bought it, and since then it's got new wheels, tranny, exhaust, front brakes, radiator...the list goes on.

Are you serious? Damn. $8050 trade-in for my SVT, while I owe over $11K. If I sold it myself... Wait, they see a sedan with a manual and run away screaming. Never mind...

2000 SE sport 122,245 miles
Trade in $3,205 Private party - $7,395
I dont think I would get that much for it trading it in or selling it myself. Dealers tend to want to avoid those high mileage cars like mine and people are the same way.
The only way I would get close to that tradein price is if I way overpaid for a new car and traded mine in.
