Hey guys. I gotta question. Obviously I'm from ontario. I've met this girl whos' from Alberta. She's thinking about coming down to Ontario for school in about a year or so... its a 3 year program. when she's done she's going home.

anyone here start out in Ontario and move to Alberta? if so how was the transition? was it a big shock or what?

do you have family out there? hard to make friends?

just looking for answers to maybe help mold my future.

By moving to Alberta, (depending on what part of alberta) your cost of living will likely go down a great deal.

Alberta has alot of great opportunities right now, so your possible quality of living can be good too.

No matter where you move it's always a bit of a shock, 300 square kilometers of flat will be the biggest change. As far as making friends, when I first moved to Calgary 7 years ago, I made more friends in 4 months than I think I even met in the 2 years I've lived in Saskatoon.

I'm done school in December. Then I have a 4 month term coop working for Fanshawe. After that, I really dont' have much lined up. So I'm just doing a lot of thinking right now. Very confusing time.

Just make sure your thinking with the right head .

trust me, I'm not thinking with that head... i'd have to be using it to be thinking with it..

I don't know. I'm young, I haven't really done anything interesting in my life. Maybe this is what I need. Tough to say really. Only time will tell.

Think long and hard man. Don't do it for a love interest. Do it for yourself.

oh I'm thinking. Trust me, its on my mind 24/7... I haven't stop thinking about it. especially when the new year comes, I'm sure I'll be thinking more about it.

I mean, yes theres a big reason I wanna make this move. But I'll never really know until I try. If it blows up in my face. I'm young, I'll have life left to live, and its a life experiance.

Like I've said earlier, I havn't really done anything exciting before. I've always been cautious and careful about everything I did. Maybe its time to take a blind step, see where it goes. Then just chalk it up to a good life experiance.

Thanks though, any input is nice. I talked to my mom lastnight and she said just what you said Mark. Plus I want to make sure I am doing it for the right reasons.
