I just got a set of EBC Greenstuff pads from the Tirerack installed on my SVT specifically because their ad says low dust. I can wipe my rims done every other day from the dust. Anybody out there have any experience with these? The Tirerack people seem to be willing to change these to keep me happy. Right now I'm not. What other brand should I go for? I want something that's not going to be a constant battle to keep clean rims. HELP!!!!!!

Raybestos Quietstops dust less than most. I have a set on my wife's Escape and the dusting is greatly reduced.

the green stuff pads are somewhat lower dust.brother has them on his Integra,(although he wipes his rims more than his a$$). there good brakes, but overkill for street in my opinon.

I put Bendix titaniums on my gf's focus. Very low dust so far and seem to be great performance wise.

I can sympathize with your brother. I must wipe my rims every other day. I can't stand looking at chrome rims with this *@!@#$% dust on them. I can screw up a white towel in a week. Come on guys, lets have some more info.

The Tire Rack said I should have done a "bed in procedure" and then I would have had very low dust. What do they mean--how do I do it? Need some help here guys!!!!

"Bed in" means to go easy on the brakes for about 200 miles. In words, don't do any high speed "oh sh!t, speed trap" braking.

Thanks. It sure would have been nice of them to let me in on this before I did any normal driving. I've been driving with these pads for about a month or so. Is there anything I can do to fix the "damage" I've done.

Well, I'm actually not sure how bedding the pads is going to reduce your dust issues. Not saying it won't, just that I've never heard that one.
And, if you've done "normal" driving for about a month, you should be fine. (Remember the average person's definition of normal, here, not the enthusiast's.)
There should have been some kind of instructions with the pads, as each brake pad alchemist has their own idea of what's best, but the main ideas of bedding are to run the pads through some gradually increasing heat cycles to burn off excess binding agents (glue), and to evenly coat the rotor with pad material. So, 200 miles or more of "normal" driving is the first step. Seasoning rotors, if new, is the next one. Then the pad bedding. The end result will be better braking performance, and less chance of "warping" rotors. But I have gobs of dust from my Mintex A/F, regardless.
