I was just curious...I have an optimized y-pipe, as I did not want to spend the money on an aftermarket. I was just wondering what the HP gains are on an optimized stock pipe vs. the 10 or so claimed by aftermarket units. I was just curious, and bored, and having never seen this discussed, thought I'd throw it out...

4-6 HP at the wheels maybe. Maybe a little more for a modified SVT.
A chip brings out nice torque gains when using a optimized OEM or SHOShop style Y-pipe.

Thanks for the info, Demon, that's nice to hear. I was just contemplating what mods would get me torque gains, and since I really don't plan on doing much more, I will seriously look into a chip.

Look to Chris at Street Flight to burn you a good chip.
