It appeares mine is slowly dying, so it's time to start looking for the best deal. Cheapest isn't necessarily the best, but sometimes 3 different places will have exactly the same part and one shop is much cheaper. So anyone out there with knowledge of this speak up please. Your replies are appreciated.
Ken, 99 Silver Frost SE Zetec Atx, polished alloys, Kumho's, Pioneer hi power CD/AM/FM. Factory spoiler (added) Audi side lites, Borla stainless steel muff. Stolen, recovered in pieces. Looking for another Tour, preferably V6, 5 speed.

bosch has a 5 year warrnty , thats what i got , im in canada so my price diff
chepest at wreakers used , tested and a 1 year warrnty at most places
or if not in rush ..ya right eh
rebuild the one you got or have done for u

no one has a cheap one... they are all about $250 anywhere and another $250 for install if you don't feel like dealing with that crap. - Just had mine done...

You should just have the stocker rebuilt. Can even get the amps raised too.

any alternator would be find, the cheapest one to get is the one you can steal, it is free

www.car-parts.comsearch and you can find one reasonable priced at a junk yard this is what i just did with my 99 Tour, got a used alternator from a 99 Mystique that looked in much better shape then mine did, not as corroded and it didn't have a cracked casing. total cost $40, gas for travel and the time to help my father install it ourselves
