I finally got my car back (after 2 months) and my car isnt acting like it used to (E0 SVT). ???-->Could a front end collision (not too severe, but still bad enough to reach the radiator) cause transmission problems. I am wondering this cuz my trannsmission isnt acting right (popping out of 1st gear on downshift, and grinding into 2nd and 3rd when RPMs are above 2000rpm) and i didnt really notice it before.
Also, i am pretty sure of this, but when I accelerate, my whole car shakes, that would definantly be the collision causing that right?

yea send it back, they have to fix that, they are problably going to say that they cant see any damage therefore it wasnt caused by the accident. Dont let them screw you.

Have them check all the motor/trans mounts as well as the shifter linkage and tower!

I have a 1998 Mercury Mystique LS that was involved in a front end collision before I bought it, and I WAS NOT informed of this before I bought the car, but my transmission shifts hard down to first gear also.

Andy, they did replace the motor mounts, but said nothing at all about the transmission
