Ok all, before I get castrated, I did try to do a search first with no results. I'm planning to change over to ATE Super Blue w/ the speedbleeder install as well. My question is, how much fluid should I buy. I know that it comes in 1 Litre cans, and given the relativly small ID of the brake lines, I'm guessing I should buy at least 2 cans in order to do a full flush?

Any answers would be appreciated.

P.S. Maybe I should also post this (or something like it) in the FAQ Starter Post as well?? w/ ABS, w/o ABS, manual tranny??

Easily did a complete flush with 1 liter of Super Blue. Change in color makes it simple to know when you're "flushed."

Sounds about right.

I normally go through a quart of the Synpower when flushing.
I'm sure I'm a little "extra careful" and run it clear for a while.
However since brake fluid is for all intent and purpose useless after it's opened you might as well use it up anyway.

Don't forget to flush the clutch line too!

Ditto. I usually use about 3/4 quart when flushing.

Yep, since I'll be using the Super Blue, I'm not worried about being able to tell when I'm into new fluid. And I can't forget the clutch. Bleeding the clutch during the 3L install is what made me think of changing all the fluid. Plus, I got to reading the write-up in the other post about brake fade and % water content and whatnot.

I used a little over a quart the first time I flushed the brake system on my car, including the clutch. Since then it usually takes a little less than a quart. I flush it once a year, but I only do the clutch every other year. It doesn't get as hot as the brake calipers do. The first time (even though it was only a year old) seemed to take a bit more fluid to purge out the discolored fluid. I also use Valvoline Synpower.
