Well... on my Zetec-VCT 2.0L L4 1998. The fix was like 4 or 5 hours. It's easy, but you need to take your time around those VCT parts and clean up everything.
I got a FelPro "Gaskit-Value Cover Set" for 24.95 + 5$ ship.

This kit comes with the seals your thinking of.
I don't think what was going bad was really this seal
but more likely the bult seals that also come with
this FelPro set.
When I saw that oil in my car I just
about had a heart attack..hehe
Later when I got the set and took off the cover I could
see that some of bults along the inside had oil all around
them. The seals looked to be okay, but then again why would
they be leaking on such a new car? These new cars don't
have an EMF so the Oil Pressure must be high and the oil
must be thin. 5w30.
Put a little extra pressure on those bults along the
the middle chamber. Check to see if that stops the flow.
If not then buy that seal set.
You will need a few extended parts becuase of one bult
in the back. And you might also need to remove the top
screws to the Timining blet cover as to push it back
far enough to get the cover off. You don't really want
to remove the Timining Belt cover. For that you would
need to put the car on jacks and prop the enine, then
remove the motor mounts.. sigh I also remove and pulled
back some metal part to the AC Highside that had a ground
wire leading to one of the engine hooks. And last there
is a Hose to the back side of the cover that might take
a little time getting on and off.
