Lucky,

I have never heard about them not being as strong as the B&M. I am afraid that you may have these confused with the ones that were discussed in another post that were from ebay that were breaking on people. I believe that they had mistaken them for Steeda shifters and they were not. Steeda has been making shifters for Mustangs for many years and I would be willing to say that they are just as strong if not stronger as the B&M shifter. I will look over Steedaâ??s web page and see if they discuss the warranty on their page. Hope I have answered any questions you may have about the shifter.

Later,

Eric

i agree with myfastse...steeda is a very reputable company, and i guarantee you that they will stand behind their product...like he said they have been making shifters for years...also you are thinking of the obx shifters that broke on everybody....

One question before I decide. How much shorter is the steeda compared to the stock shifter (using the stock svt knob)? I want to make sure its going to be out of the way of my new cd player I'm putting in. Thanks.

if you do a search for steeda installs in the general mods section you should come up with a thread that includes a very nice shadow type picture where both the steeda and the stock shifter or "inlayed" over each other in the picture.....def a differnce in the two....
