i think its getting big, should i go on a diet?

I was wondering (probably a dumb question) There is a reflector on the rear (above the license plate) that stretches from one tail light to the other on most every SVT i have seen. Mine didnt have one when i bought it. Did Ford put thoses reflectors on every SVT or just some?
Or did a previous owner take it off.

oh yea mine is a E0 SVT

Every 98 or later Contour came with one.

so ALL SVT's have a rear reflector thing? the previous owner of my car took it off?

Well, what does yours look like? Some owners like to paint the reflecter body color. You can also swap out a pre 98 Contour trunk lid. If you have just tail lights, with no reflector at all, chances are it's been painted or possibly removed. If, however, you have a small reflector on each side just inboard of the tail lights, with an incorportaed reverse light, then you have a pre98 lid. Maybe do some serious surfing in the pic and vids forum to see some pre98 rears, or you can check the link in my profile to see some pics of my pre98 trunk lid on my 99 SE. HTH

thanks for the help, it is not a pre 98 trunk....i guess previous owner just removed the reflector....theres also a eibach sticker in the trunk, but no springs.....i only wish i knew, carfax came up empty
