Does a 1998.5 contour svt have a returnless or a return fuel system? Thanks.

IMHO, any auto manufactured today has return fuel system. Recycles vapour/fluid instead of releasing to the environment.

But we'll wait until someone who knows something speaks up.

My 98 V6 Duratec had a return fuel system and 99SVT stated in another thread that his SVT is also the return type. I agree with the above statement that vehicles today generally utilize a return type fuel system because of cleaner emissions, although a statement like that is not an opinion because it can be very easily proven/disproven. When you can prove or disprove something, it is no longer an opinion. Sorry, don't mean to be a butthole... just thought I'd throw that last part in there FYI.

I searched and found that if you look under your throttle body there is some metal tubing. 1 tube = returnless and 2 tubes = returnstyle. I have 2 tubes so I have return style.

I also learned that they changed to returnless midway through 99 so a 98.5 should have returnstyle, 99's you have to check and 00's should be returnless.
