I keep getting postcards for my '99 tour from some outfit in Ft. Lauterdale, Fla. about warranty information. I'm guessing this isn't associated with Ford and is some sort of sales scam. Anyone else get these or know what they are?

They want to sell you an extended warranty for about $700 to $3500. Yep, as much as $3500. For that kind of money I could almost buy another replacement 'Tour.

Depending on your mileage, you may be able to get coverage through AAA. Likely your safest bet if you feel better with a warranty.
