I would like to get a seat with more bolstering. And 500-600 a pair is too much for me. I was thinking of looking on Ebay or a nearby junkyard for some nicer seats. Does anybody know what other car's seats will fit (i.e. bolt on)?

Get pre-98 SE leathers. Just about all the bolstering you could ask for.

almost anything can be made to work. as for direct bolt-in, probably not. the brackets are made to match the shape of the floor pan. you might be able to change the bracket/slider mechanism from seat to seat with some work. I think most of the contour seats are riveted to the brackets.
contours, deloreans & fiats, oh my!

Were there Leather seats that weren't for the SE, in other words, are their leather seats without the bolsters?

Not quite. Under the foam padding there is a metal pan that is torque screwed to the tracks. torque is 22 nm. You may be able to switch the pan and track assembly, but that means a total deconstruct of the cushion section of the seat, and the mustang foam may not fit into the Contour pan (which is very likely). PM me if you have any questions.

Yes, the leather seats available for the Pre-98 Contour LX and Mistique were not bolstered as much as the SE

But the SE seats are badass, IMHO. They don't look as good as the SVT seats, but they are crazy supportive.
