Hey all, I am curious to know if there are enough CEG'ers that might be interested in a group buy of racing seats and mounting brackets for any year Contour, Contour SVT, or Mystique. Most of you that know who I am know that I have invested a ton of money into my car and putting racing seats in my Mystique was one of the best investments I ever made. Now, I have never done a group buy here, but hey, maybe this can be my first one. I am an authorized Corbeau Dealer. I have not approached Corbeau yet with this idea since I just thought of it after hours, but here's what I'm thinking... As long as you live in the 48 Continental United States, you can join in. Check out my page of Corbeau racing seats at My Corbeau Page.. Pick out a seat, or pair of seats you would like, then come back here and post the type of seat you would want to order. In about a week, I will tally up the most popular seat, and find out from Corbeau how much a bulk order would run me. This is just a brainstorm of mine that I'd like to get some input on. Please let me know if you'd be interested or if it's not a good idea. You can also email me at dean@deanjoyce.com

great idea, I very well could go for this. I like a lot of those models on there though the one I really like will still probably be too high even GB priced for me so I won't even say what it is. Depending on the seat picked and the GB price, I very well could go for this.

yeah the A4s are nice, but i'd also be in for some of the cheaper/lighter seats as well. I just need something semi-comfortable and good looking and affordable.

Do any of those seats sit lower than a stock svt seat? Im 6'6" and my legs rub the stearing wheel. If i could sit just a few inches lower my legs wouldnt rub and id be a much happier camper

I think the ones you(deanjoyce) have in your car are pretty cool, so i would go with thoes ones, oh and reclinable is a nesesity lol, for me anyways. Also let us know what the price range on these seats would be if we do get em in bulk, and also could we include some harnesses?

Ok, here's something I thought of overnite... Since there are so many seat models, but all the mounting brackets are the same for any seat to mount into a contour or mystique. AND the harnesses that go best with our cars are the 3pt double release kind, perhaps it would work out best if I were to focus more on "group buying" the mounting brackets and harnesses? Normal price for those are about $150/pair plus shipping, and normal price on the harnesses is about $150/pair plus shipping. If this were the chosen route, you would still get the seat of your choice for a discounted price, but possibly get the brackets and belts very discounted. This is just a thought, let me know what you think. I'm here to help!
RDSOUND... yup, hudson could put them in. did you ever get the rest of your stuff? i'm thinking of doing that tranny cooler on my myst, so if you still need that done, maybe we'll do mine first so i can give you an exact estimate and time frame for it to be done. let me know.
