Ah, the "Sylvia" (Japanese name). Almost bought one of those as my "daily beater", except I've never driven a stick-shift in my life, and the salesperson was kinda slimy.

www.240sx.org and i believe there is another site out there. they run low 16s in the 1/4mile stock, and will out handle a regular tour around the twisties "at least compared to my car". Lower center of gravity and rear wheel drive gotta help. Two of my friends drive 240's so i know a little of info about these cars. One is heavily modified T3/T4 turbo with custom internals and the other lightly modified with basic bolt-ons. i might be able to answer some of your questions.

I was looking at getting one and selling my 'tour a while back. But it was like a 88 or early 89 or something with out a supercharger and would have been about same quickness as my 'tour.

my cousin in FL has a nice fully decked out (body/interior wise, still needs a little time for the engine) 240 SX, looks to be about a 90, well, makes the same electronic chime sound my 90 sentra did if you left the key in the ignition..... before i "did away" with the ignition lock.... long story up to where my freind got pulled over right after he bought it with a 14 year old in the car at 3am, with MY plates on it still (i was 17...)..... cop thought something was a little fishy....
and about the stick part YES, very deprived. sticks are SO fun.
