Does anyone know if there is a good forum for owners of the Ford Escape?
We have just become a two Duratec family. We took delivery of a 2003 Escape Limited yesterday to become my wife's daily driver. I guess that you might even say that I've joined the 3.0 club except the 3.0 isn't in my SVT. I know what you are thinking, why not switch engines. You may be thinking that the wife wouldn't notice anyway, but the SVT is just fine the way it is . . . at least for now.

Here ya go... http://www.escape-central.com/. Nice folks over there. Hey, look in the tranny forum on the Torque Convertor shudder that has been plaqueing most Escapes, not the Tributes. There is a reflash of the PCM that the dealer can do to solve the problem. Since you have an `03 it might not be an issue, but worth looking into. They have a lady over there that is some sort of insider on the CD4E of sorts and has posted tons of info on the issue and what Ford is doing about it. Not meaning to scare ya or anything, just a heads up.

We too are a 2 Duratec family...my dad has a Taurus SEL...so you could also say that I have a 3 liter too...I only wish it were in my Contour.... Somehow, I don't think he'll go along w/ an engine trade.......
