Don't be stupid like me. When I replaced my right side drive axle, I let the splash guards overlap the wrong way. In the right wheel well (if you looking at the spindle), apparently the gaurd to your left is supposed to be on top of the guard to your right. The left guard got pushed in somehow and was rubbing against the alternator and the CV boot. So, after taking that guard out, cutting off the messed up part, managing to cut my thumb open with the dull rusty saw, I got it put back in the right way. I even left a little blood on the screw that holds it in. The car has my blood and sweat, just no tears yet.

I was just looking at this myself the other day..having the front guard would not go behaind the back one easy. i finally gave up and slapped the tire back on..due to being late. I will deffintly have to take the wheel back off and fix this and re-examine the brakes now that i know a little more what to look at.

but first..i gotta figure out how to get this blasted drain plug out of the radiator?? none of my screwdrivers will go deep enough in the x of the phillips head nut AND fit in the tiny amount of space allowed for length of the screwdriver..
yea..i dunno if thta made since..but im puzzled, stumpled and kinda ticked off at that stupid thing right now..

on my 96 contour the rad. plug is removed with a large head flat screw driver... on my 93 taurus its a hex (allen wrench) that goes into the plug, the wings broke off the darn thing, luckly i still got the allen hole(hex) in the middle... maybe this is what you have on yours?????

If you remove your a/c compressor, then there is plenty of room for a long screwdriver.
