w00t!! Now if I could get my wife to make up her mind if she wants to go or not smile

Help me with ideas to convince her. She already thinks she'd like to live in Dallas and I'm using the "you can see if you really like it there" argument.

We do have some alternative options for non car people. Plus if you stay @ the hotel you will be really close to an awesome mall. Tell her you will take her there and buy her something from Tiffany's smile There is plenty to do here. So please encourage her to come. You can have her PM me if you want.

I think my wife and kids are coming down after the meet.

My mother lives in Ft. Worth, so I'm planning to get the tribe down on Sunday or Monday for a few days. Probably fly them down as wifey wouldn't dream of a 750 mile drive, with just the kids.

I'm fast becoming a thorn in your side, Chris smile

I have another question regarding registration. What is the cutoff date? I ask because I'm still uncertain about my wife's ability to make the trip. She has her resume out to a couple companies right now that seem interested and I don't want to register her and then have her not be able to make it, thus wasting my $35.

The cut off date is two weeks before the event, Friday June 14th, 2002. Of course we would like everyone to register sooner rather than later (its just easier) but you still have plenty of time.
BTW- I found a little something you could possibly bribe your wife with in case of emergency wink a day spa or maybe just a massage or something. The spa is very close to all activities and across the street from the mall I mentioned earlier. Wish you wife good luck on the job search for us.

Thanks Mushu smile

The bribing is pretty much in the bag. If she hasn't landed a job, she'll most likely be going. Not bad considering I just mentioned this to her last week wink

Thanks for the info. I'd register today if I had a definite answer on her job situation, but I gotta hold out a little while.

Well, putting the check in the mail today.

Just wondering if you have the location/phone number for the specific La Quinta we're going to be staying at? I don't register over the internet and I've had nothing but bad luck with nationwide hotel registering...

Thank you!

Anyone want to split a double room. I'll be staying there Thursday night thru Sunday night.

Also, What is the address of the La Quinta. I typed in Dallas and there are like 10 of them. Maybe I missed it in another post.

Thanks.

BE sure to say you are with the CEG (Contour Enthusiast National Meet) Very Important!!!!!!

FYI- This is a really nice La Quinta. Its a La Quinta Inns & Suites instead of the regular La Quintas. I thinks thats why there is no Denny's there. The manager gave us a "tour" (get it... bad pun) the rooms are really nice & it has a really cool pool. Be sure and bring swimsiuts!

So if I bring my friend, my gf, and his fiancee do they all have to register as well? I know my friend wants to go but I doubt the girls we'll be hanging around for everything. I figure my buddy WILL need to register but not sure about the girls.

And what is the registration fee paying for exactly? I assume various costs incurred for planning something like this but I'm still curious.

laugh

Thanks

If they are planning on coming to anything Saturday they need to register. Activities on Friday can be a spectator event as they are not a "paid" event. Meaning whom ever comes pays for themselves (we do not pay).

We got it today! Thanks!

We have about 35 people registered so far. That doesn't include the rest of the Texas people so far. We are hoping to have around 50 total.

Yes, a certain number of rooms in the block. You have until this Thursday before the rest of the rooms get taken away and you lose the discount.

Make sure you say this is for the CEG National Meet. If they give you some flak about it, say the General Manager knows about it.

I was able to get the double at $59 with the AAA rate. I'm sure there are probably even cheaper choices as well. I'm pretty sure the rate is pretty safe now.

Wont be able to make it frown

Car running like crap + Check Engine light today + 1150 mile drive = no National Meet for me.

Guess the Vortech vs. Turbo battle will have to wait.

This sucks mad

You all have fun wink

You can still come & have everyone here work on your car laugh or you can do this! If you do we live 2 blocks from there so we could easily get you. laugh

Too bad 2000SVTFlyboy is leaving early. frown you only live 200 miles apart.

We really hope things change & you can make it.

Anyone have any ideas? Anyone?

I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

You mean you don't like suprises? I'll see what I can do when I can get on Chris's computer. I don't have any national Meet stuff on mine.

Look for all final info by tomorrow evening (I hope laugh ). We should be sending everyone an email & we will post it as well.

Thanks again for bringing the most people! You rock!
