Texas would be a cool spot for a national meet but here's my vote for the second choice. http://www.tailofthedragon.com/ If anything it would make a good weekend trip for people on the east coast.

Dallas would be nice. My mom lives in Ft Worth, so I could bring the family and leave them with her. So, I vote for Dallas, TX in the fall, for fully selfish reasons TB

Actually it would be cool to have one meeting for those east of the Mississippi and another meet for those west of the Mississippi.

Fall seems real soon... Anyway, if we want to have the meet in Dallas for the Fall, we all need to make a decision fast so the Dallas CEG Group can organize. Who's the President of the group....

Fall does seem a little quick. I was thinking along the lines of next year's spring zing.

What would we call the fall meet; Spring Zing 2001.5? I think next spring would be plenty of time for planning on both sides. Attendees and organizers. As much as I would love for everybody to come here in a few months, my vote is for next spring.

Why not a Fast Four-Door Ford Fall Frenzy F-5?
The first one doesn't need to be as elaborate as Spring Zing. It took a few years for Spring Zing to become what it is.
Just need to find a fun run area, maybe locate or set-up an Auto-X on that weekend. (Someone has to work somewhere that has an acceptable parking lot, right? Of course a hotel to base everything out of.
Think of it as a training exercise to train up more folks to put on an event like Spring Zing.

I can check with Bedford PD. They and the SCCA sponsor an Auto X every year. That is if ya'll want me too. I'm sure we can find an abandoned parking lot that the police and/or tenant wouldn't mind us playing in as long as we agree to leave it in better shape than before we got there....ie: mowing their grass and sweeping the parking lot(we would really need to do both anyway so that people can have a nice place to sit other than the pavement and so that the track area is free of debris. What do ya'll think? I can start lookin and checkin this weekend. I think I know of a few good places about an hour east of dallas....is that too far for ya'll? Let me know. If anyone has suggestions and/or comments, PLEASE email them to me. I can't get on here as much as I have been in the past few weeks. My mobile email address is 2148698634@messaging.nextel.com
